Choosing The Right Fly Line
When choosing a fly line, the most important factor is to match your line weight to your rod weight. If you have a 5-weight rod, use a 5-weight line, and also consider the type of fishing you plan to do, selecting a floating line for surface fishing, a sink-tip line for deeper presentations, or a full-sink line for very deep water, while also taking into account the specific environment and conditions you'll be fishing in.
