Natural Attractions
Bald Mountain - a fairly easy 1 mile hike with 360 degree views from the fire tower on top.
LOTS and LOTS of other trails, some hikes, some woods-walking, even some waterfalls. Go to Maine Trail Finder for information. The Appalachian Trail even passes nearby.
Saddleback Mountain - ski, snowboard, fat bike, hike, and more.
Height of Land - about 15 minutes south of Oquossoc on Rt 17 - a must see overlook at anytime - awesome sunsets. There is also the Shelton Noyes Scenic Overlook on Rt 17 and the Whip Willow Farm Overlook on Rt 4 just to the east of town.
Ponds and Rivers - kayak, canoe, swim, fish, enjoy! Many rivers are fly fishing only.

Winter? Ice skate on Haley Pond (free skate rentals at Rangeley Adventure Co.), cross country on many trails including at the Rangeley Lakes Trail Center (864-4309), snowmobile, snowshoe, ice fish, fat bike, and more.
