This is a large category of tying materials. The most common hair used in tying would be that of deer, elk, rabbit and squirrel. Deer and elk are used for the wings of streamers and dry flies. Rabbit is used for streamers and nymphs. Some of the deer hair and fur that we sell is locally sourced and labeled as Maine deer hair or fur. Fur is used for creating dubbed bodies for nymphs and dry flies. We also carry fur from many other less common fur bearers. Fur comes in small patches while deer hair in larger pieces and tails. We carry hair and fur from Wapsi, Hareline, Nature's Spirit and our own locally sourced and prepared brand.
