Redington Grande Fly Reel

The Redington Grande fly reel pairs a fully sealed carbon drag with a strong aluminum build. Its SUPER-TORQUE drag delivers smooth, powerful pressure. In addition, the V-spool adds backing space and helps reduce line stacking. Large controls make the handle and drag knob easy to find during a fight.

Redington Grande fly reel drag control

The sealed carbon fiber drag is central to the Grande design. Meanwhile, the oversized palming rim gives you another way to add pressure to the spool. It also helps keep the spool rigid.

Picture a fish pulling line as you brace against the current. First, reach for the large drag knob to adjust your setting. Then, take hold of the soft-touch handle as you wind line back in.

More backing room and less line stacking

The V-spool uses a backing canal arbor to increase backing space. This design also helps reduce line stacking. As a result, the spool addresses both capacity and line management.

Before choosing a reel, check the size against your rod and line. Next, review the backing needs for your planned setup. That helps you choose an option suited to the fish you plan to pursue.

Strong frame and thoughtful details

Redington machines the Grande from 6061-T6 aluminum and adds an anodized finish. The reel foot position helps prevent rod twist by centering the reel's weight. In addition, the foot's rounded finish helps protect line and leaders when stowed.

The large Delrin handle has a soft-touch, anti-snag design. Its shape supports grip and comfort while you retrieve. Together, these details focus on control when a fish puts your tackle to work.
