People use marabou in fly tying because its soft fibers create a lifelike, pulsating movement underwater that mimics small baitfish or leeches, which is irresistible to fish. This "breathing" action is highly effective for triggering strikes, making marabou a versatile material for both classic and modern patterns, often used for tails (such as on Woolly Buggers), wings (think Marabou Black Ghost), and bodies (Gartside). This is Blood Quill Marabou. It has a thin stem and lots of body. Many traditional feather wing streamers can be tied with a marabou wing instead. 1/4 oz. package - Lots of colors for a great variety of flies!
