Mickey Finn #2 8X Long- One of the best known bucktail streamers, Colonel Bates himself called it “a consistent fish-getter”. The Mickey Finn was formerly known as the Red and Yellow Bucktail and produced by William Mills and Son, until John Alden Knight, an angler and author of Williamsport, Pennsylvania wrote about it's effectiveness in the then popular Hunting and Fishing magazine. While Knight wanted to name it the Assassin, Toronto Star correspondent Gregory Clark named it the Mickey Finn, and the name stuck.
Additional fun fact: During the initial Mickey Finn craze in the 1930's, an outfit in Westchester saved itself from bankruptcy by specializing in it.
