Fishing Report June 23 2016

Low water continues to persist on the local rivers. The good news is that increased flows on the Magalloway and Rapid are on the way. At the Rapid they have been running 1200 at night and the first recreational releases on the Mag. will start this week end. This means that more fresh fish will move up into the rivers. The water temps are not too bad for this time of year. We have had cool nights in the mid 40's. The stoneflies should start hatching on all rivers soon. Drakes are beginning to show up on the Kennebago lakes and should really take off with the next warm spell. Feel free to call the shop if you have any questions.
