Fishing Report June 17 2016

Summer weather has returned. After a long run of cloudy and cool days the water has cooled down into the 56-60 degree range. This cool down was just what we needed. Flows are still low due to the lack of rain but hopefully there will be some before it warms up too much. The Hendricksons are mostly over and stone-flies are on the way. Some Salmon have moved up the Kennebago in the last couple of days but not in large numbers. I would expect that they have done the same on the upper Magalloway. The Pat's Rubberleg is the hot fly on the Magalloway as the stone-flies are probably busy crawling around and getting ready to hatch. The smaller tan caddis have appeared on some of the rivers. The black-flies have reappeared so be ready for them. Have fun this weekend fishing and exploring.
