We have not had any flow changing rain since last week. Area rivers remain low but water temps are also staying low. The temp on the Magalloway is at 62-64 degrees while the Kennebago is in the 50's in the morning. There are some fish that have found their way up the Kennebago in the last week even with the low flows. Some fish are moving around in the upper Kennebago but it is hard going still. Smelt patterns work well for fish fresh up the rivers. After they settle in they become harder to catch on streamers. At this time of year you need to be willing to change things up often till you hopefully find something that works - from Wooly Buggers to midges. Have fun and be patient.
