Barr Emerger
This month's featured fly is the Barr Emerger created by John Barr of Colorado. It was created in 1975 to imitate emerging mayflies. It can be fished in the film as originally intended or as a nymph dropper. It can have a bead for extra weight or with a flashback over the thorax like the fly on the left.
