Purple Haze Klink

This month's fly is the Purple Haze Klink. My favorite two flies to use during the summer small Brookie season are the Purple Haze and Rusty Klink. I combined the two to create this month's pattern. Often when you are fishing for small Brookies they will rise at every fly but won't hook up as they grab the fly and let go. Also they are small and don't have enough weight to set the hook against. By having the hook curve underwater like the klink does you can hook more of these quick hitting little jewels. It is also good to pinch the barbs on the hooks to reduce damaging them.
