Rangeley Region Sports Shop expands guiding business

Starting this summer we will be growing our guiding business by adding a crew of guides. As our friends and regular customers know, I have been the only guide at the shop since we have owned it. In the past I have turned away sports or referred to others when my days were full. Now we will have a staff of guides so that we can set up a fisherman on the spot with a capable guide to explore our area. It has always been part our mission to be a resource center for information on the Rangeley area. This growth in the guiding area will help us to offer meaningful and rewarding fly fishing experiences to our visiting friends.
     Our guides all have lots of experience in the Rangeley area and I am sure have some secret spots to share with our sports. All of our guides really enjoy teaching beginners and helping them catch their first fish.  We look forward to adding many new fly fisherman to our ranks.
     We will also be adding driftboat trips to the larger rivers like the Kennebec and Androscoggin. Floating the Magalloway will also be an option and should be a very popular trip. Bob Duport will be joining us as a guide and also in an advisory roll. Bob has over 20 years guiding experience in our area and behind the oars of a drift boat on the larger rivers.
