George Fletcher and President Ronald Reagan

We are so happy that Willard Hatch gave us this photo he took of George Fletcher, the founder of our shop.  The first member of the Veazie Salmon Club to catch an Atlantic Salmon in the Penobscot River each spring always brought it to the President.  On May 1, 1987 George was the lucky angler and using a blue rat fly caught this beautiful 16 pounder which he presented to President Reagan on May 4-5 in the White House.  Looking on are Senator William Cohen, Brian Somer, and Senator George Mitchell.
