Fletcher's Fly Stamps
Here's another “treasure” we found in a box when we bought the store. Looks to be a set of stamps for labeling flies when they were mailed out. We're so glad they survived to be found by us. Our guess is that these belonged to George since “Fletcher's Super” is one of the fly names and the box in which they were jumbled had the label you see in a second photo (check our Facebook feed). The names match many of the fly “recipes” in the 1947 catalog (the oldest we have) and many of these flies are no longer in use so we'll be researching when we can to figure out some of these old patterns.
