Fishing Report - July 13 2017

Today was a cool and wet day in our area. We received over half an inch of rain and the air temps were below 60 degrees. I would expect the water levels to rise slightly but still be fishable. The Kennebago was 68 degrees yesterday but dropped to 61 after the rain today.  The Magalloway is scheduled to be at 320 cfs through the weekend while the Rapid will be high for a white water release. The stonefly activity is in full swing on the area rivers. Caddis and blue wing olives are also around. Hatches have been inconsistent lately so nymphing is the best way to go unless you see fish feeding. Drakes seem to be  quiet for the moment but could still occur through the month . Be sure to check out the brooks and streams where they empty into ponds and lakes this cold water will draw the fish into the outlet.  All things considered, this could be a great weekend to spend on the water. The biting bugs are still pretty bad so be prepared.
