The weather this week has turned from 90 degrees and sunny on Sunday to snow on the mountain tops on Wednesday morning. We received close to an inch of rain on Tuesday night which left us with high water currently. The water temps have also dropped back into the 40's in some places. I think the suckers are about done spawning in most places. Looking ahead I would expect the flows to begin to drop but still stay on the high side. In places where the water temps are in the 50's you could see some mayfly activity like we did before the weather change. The week end looks to be very warm so dry fly fishing could return. The nymphs will becoming active now so put away the eggs and spawn away and get back to the basic flies that copy those bugs: pheasant tail, green caddis, and rubber legs.
Till next time
Brett
