Rangeley Region Fishing Report - Sept. 16 2022

Here we go again with another cool down. We are in very good shape here weather-wise going into the end of September. The temps are in the low 40's at night keeping the water temps in the 50's. The forecasted rain should move fish up into their spawning areas. The Kennebago has some nice brookies  and a few salmon it it and has been the main attraction. The Magalloway water temps are in the 60's and is fishing fair.  Not much to report from the Rapid yet but as water temps go down it should pick up. When fishing for fall run fish there are two rules to follow. Be ready for anything, from midges to buggers and be ready to move a lot in search of fish and also to get away from other fisherman.
