This week's weather has had some nice days sandwiched between rain events. Today we received almost an inch of new rain which will most likely raise the rivers and streams once more. Water temps were just starting to get to warm but will now go down with the new rain. The Magalloway is at a flow of 650 or more and water temps are staying cooler than the last couple of years at this point in the summer. The Kennebago has not gone done for a week and probably won't in the near future. The stonefly hatches have peaked but will still be a bug to match. Hex mayflies are still around on the stillwater and caddis are always present on the rivers. I have seen small tan and an abundance of small black caddis in the evenings. Midges will become more important as the summer wanes. Feel free to call the shop with any questions.
Brett
