After a cloudy, rainy week things should start changing for the good in our area. During the week we received upwards of 4 inches of rain. The lakes are full except for Richardson and all the rivers are running heavy. This coming week is looking dry and warmer which should start warming the water up and get the suckers and bugs ready. The Magalloway is finally flowing heavier and will move some new fish up for the fisherman. Some nice brookies have been caught this week on small nymphs. Dark mayfly nymphs and midges should work. I have heard of some brookies being caught on the small ponds. Use streamers that look like the smelts that are spawning in the moving waters. Some of the dirt roads are in good shape and some are still muddy and unpredictable. It won't be long now and this week should really move the fishing along.
