Rangeley Region Fishing Report - July 12 2024

This is a short report to let everyone know that all freestone, moving water is high. Wednesday thru Thursday we received around 4 1/2 inches of rain. The tailwaters are still at good fishing levels but I would think that they will open the dams soon. The stoneflies are out at the Mag and this humid weather has brought the Hex's out on the lakes. The Magalloway has rafting on it this weekend at 1200 cfs between 10 and 3. It could be 4 days before the flood waters subside. Small ponds should be cooler after the rain so slide that canoe in and go fishing.
