Our area rivers have finally settled down after a wet May and first half of June. Freestones streams and rivers are actually on the low side currently. The Magalloway is at a good summer flow but the Rapid is on the high side still. Water temps have really changed this week. Last Monday the Kennebago was 48 degrees and today it hit 70 at lunch time. Be careful not to fish with water temps above 70. There are still some mayflies around but caddis are becoming the most common bug to imitate. Stoneflies should show up in numbers in the next week to ten days. The Tim Pond Road from about Morton Cut Off to Little Kennebago area will be closed for road repair until the 28th of June. The biting insects are pretty bad currently.
Till next time,
Brett
