This month's fly in the Lil Spanker nymph. The pattern was created by Dan Delekta who lives in Montana. I can not remember where I found this pattern but most likely it came from the pages of a long gone issue of Fly Tyer Magazine. It is a very effective nymph pattern in fast water where its features are most appreciated. It is basically a jazzed up Pheasant Tail with the addition of some flash and a soft C.D.C collar.
