Pat's Rubberlegs Nymph

The Pat's Rubberlegs nymph is  simple and very effective pattern that can be used year round to attract or imitate trout eating insects. While it is best known as a stonefly nymph I have found it to work very well in looking like a cased caddis. As the water warms in the spring these caddis will crawl around and move into shallow water. The cases are made out of sticks, needles and whatever debris is present in the water. The pattern also is a great attractor pattern anytime of the year with a small dropper hanging off the back.
