R8 - The core concept of the R8 CORE series is rooted in Sage's vision of a multi-application, fast action rod designed to excel in a variety of conditions, from stalking fish in different habitats to handling an expanded range of flies and species. Available in weights from 3wt to 9wt and lengths between 8'6" and 10'0", this versatile rod series is built to meet the needs of freshwater anglers, providing an option for every type of fishing style and scenario.

Sonic - The Sonic family excels in versatility, power, and sensitivity across various fishing techniques. This rod is designed with a fast action taper that allows it to handle everything from dry flies to streamers, nymphing, and even both floating and sinking lines. The inclusion of Konnetic Technology in its construction ensures exceptional responsiveness, precise tracking, and an overall intuitive casting experience, making it suitable for a wide range of fishing conditions.

Foundation - The Sage Foundation is an entry level rod with Graphite IIIe technology. It is a classic fast action Sage fly rod. It also comes as an outfit.

Specialty Family

Salt R8 - This is a salt specific fast action rod. The graphite used to make the rod has 25% more strength-per-weight with a taper that adds greater sensitivity while playing a fish. The new graphite also adds greater strength for more pull power and quicker landing.

Maverick - The Maverick has been designed with Konnetic Technology for the demanding needs of saltwater specific applications. The Maverick has been designed with a powerful tip section that drives the casting load down to give a quick efficient cast with increased pulling and lifting power. 

Igniter - The Igniter rod is a specialty rod for demanding fishing conditions like high winds and long distance casts. It is a good choice as a designated streamer rod with good lifting power and fast line speed. Great for use with sinking lines on big rivers or lakes.

ESN - The ESN was designed specifically for European-style nymphing techniques. Built with a KonneticHD technology with a medium action feel for great blank recovery, increased sensitivity and reduced weight-in-hand.

Payload - The Payload rod is designed for warmwater and saltwater fisheries where anglers are casting larger flies and heavy lines. Made for a powerful and comfortable casting action.

Sense - The Sense is a medium action European style nymphing rod made with a Generation 5 Technology blank. The action has a tightline specific action, optimized components and a soft protective tip.
