Early ice out speeds up the whole cycle. Suckers are first then trout then salmon. If you are catching chubs the water is to warm for trout.

Brett, what are your thoughts with the ice going out sooner. Trout in rivers then the chubs , how soon after chubs in river do the trout and salmon come back? Probably too soon to be talking this subject? A few years ago we hit the chubs in the river just right. Would hate to do that agaain.
