Douglas fly Rods Summary
Sky G - The Sky G fly rod is at the pinnacle of fly rod technology. There new G-Tec platelets make for a stronger and more accurate casting tool. The rod is very light in hand with a medium fast action. Recoil single foot guides flex with the flyline, helping maintain line speed.
DXF GEN2 - The new DXF upgrade incorporates advancements in technology and building materials to deliver a great value in its price range. The GEN2 is an everyday rod for any type of fishing. It is lighter in hand than most other rods.
LRS - Lake, River, Stream, the LRS is an all purpose rod featuring high performance features common in more expensive rods. The LRS features different tapers matching the length and weight of the different models; meaning that the taper for the popular 7'6" 4 weight will work great with smaller fish while the most popular 9' 5 weight will have a faster action to handle bigger fish.
Upstream - This is my favorite Douglas fly Rod. I use it all summer once I start fishing the small water for native brookies. The Upstream has a medium to slow action and is very light in hand. It casts very well at close range but can also punch out as far as you need it to. The blank is a natural Tonkin bamboo color with clear wraps on the guides.
Upstream Plus - The Upstream Plus series takes the same Tonkin bamboo look of the Upstream and adds an uplocking reel seat equipping it for larger fish and longer casting. It has a medium action that makes it perfect for dry flies and protecting light tippets.
