Fly Tying Contest

Rangeley Region Sport Shop's 3rd annual Christmas Fly Tying Contest

RULES 
1 – Flies must be your own tie, but not necessarily your own design.
2 – Flies will not be returned.
3 – The fly/flies must be received by RRSS by Thursday, December 1, 2016
4 – Judging is by the staff of RRSS.
5 – After judging, flies will be put in clear Christmas ornaments and displayed at the store (and hopefully some other locations to be determined). Each ornament will be available for a $10 donation to one of the two charities (Casting for Recovery or Back in the Maine Stream).
6 – You may enter the “Streamers”, “Novelty”, or “Other” categories.
7 – Fly or ornament photos may be posted on the internet.
8 – Winners of each category will receive a $25 gift certificate to the Rangeley Region Sport Shop.

NOTE: Flies may be compressed a bit to slide into the ornaments. If a fly cannot be compressed without damage, or if it is too large for a standard size ornament (such as 8x long hooks) it may not be placed in an ornament, but will still be in the competition and will be available for donation afterward.
