Sage Trout Spey Reel

The Sage Trout Spey reel pairs classic looks with modern drag control. Its full aluminum frame and simple styling give a nod to reels of the past. Meanwhile, the large arbor helps you pick up line fast. Choose from the listed Bronze and Black/Gunmetal colors to suit your setup.

Sage Trout Spey reel drag control

First, set the SCS drag with the aluminum knob. It turns through one full turn and has numbered, click-stop settings. As a result, you can see your setting and use the marks as a guide when you make changes.

For example, note the drag setting before you start to fish. Then, adjust it as needed during the day. The machined and anodized knob adds a practical detail to the reel's classic design.

Fast line pickup on the water

Picture a cool evening beside the river as you swing a fly through the current. A trout takes, then turns toward you. The large arbor helps you wind loose line back onto the spool quickly.

In addition, the shaped aluminum handle gives you a comfortable grip. The curved inner spool surface adds strength and room for line. Together, these features bring useful line control to a reel with a traditional look.

A full frame with classic style

Sage uses machined aluminum for the full frame. The design has fewer cutouts for a classic look and a heavier balance. In addition, the machined and anodized aluminum hub and handle complement the frame.

You can also switch between left- and right-hand wind. Therefore, you can set up the reel for your preferred winding hand. Check your chosen option before ordering to make sure it suits your fishing setup.
