Fishing Report – August 13 2015
Things are fairly normal for the middle of August in the Rangeley area. The weather continues to be ever changing and we are currently in a cooler spell. Water temps are in the low to mid 60’s on the Magalloway and other rivers with the Kennebago at 62 this morning. Flow is low on most rivers and streams with the exception of the Rapid and Mag. which are running at 600 and 800 on the Rapid. They will be running rafting water on the Mag.this week end between 9 and 3 but you can fish before and after. Nymphing is producing the best right now. Small flies in the 16 – 20 size including Pheasant tail, WD -50, WD – 40, Barr emerger, tan caddis. Dries at both ends of the day can also catch fish. Small stream fishing continues to entertain the fisherman that is up the the adventure. Be sure to get out and enjoy the woods and waters this week end.
