Fishing Report – Sept. 4 2015
Welcome to September. We finally lost the hot weather overnight and are expecting a beautiful Labor day week end. It is however, very dry here with seasonably low water levels. The Kennebago is very low but the water temp. this morning was 60 degrees. It is a waiting game for that river for the next couple of weeks. The springs along the Kennebago are running good despite the dry weather so the salmon that are in the pools are in good shape. The Magalloway and Rapid are running at good fishing levels although at warm temps. The Mag. was 64-70 degrees yesterday but my sports caught plenty of Salmon to make the day a success. Small ponds could be the way to spend your fishing time until the rivers get some water. Temps will be cooling and fish will be staging in preparation for spawning. They will be running high water at the Mag. this week end during the middle part of the day.
Till next time
Brett
