Fishing Report September 23 2016

Fisherman are rejoicing today with the change in the weather. After a week of summer days fall is in the air. We received over a half inch of rain today and air temps are falling. The fish came up the Kennebago last Friday as far as the Steep bank area.  The Rapid fished very well today for my sports on nymphs like Prince and small Pheasant tails and WD 50's. The free flowing rivers and streams were very low before the rain and hopefully will go up a little. Trout and Salmon are everywhere that they should be for this time in the season but fishing should continue to improve with every day. Launching  boats in the area lakes is very hard because of the low water so check ahead before you come. Those wanting to launch can check with Town and Lake motel.
