a river in rangeley region

Rangeley Region Fishing Report - July 1 2021

Since last week's report we have had a hot spell and 1.5 t0 2 inches of rain in the area. The forecast for the coming week is calling for more showers and cooler temps. This will mean lowering water temps and hopefully some temporary increase in flow on the freestones. There are plenty of alder flies and stoneflies at the Rapid. The rafting flows at the Magalloway last weekend most likely has moved some salmon up the river. The drakes are still around on the area ponds. It should be a good week ahead of us for fishing so make the most  of your time afield.
