Rusty Klink
FLY OF THE MONTH
This month’s fly is the Rusty Klinkhamer. For a while now I have been thinking about adding another color of the best-selling Klinkhamer Emerger. I have talked to fishermen who have had success with orange or rust colored ones. The color rust is used in a variety of effective patterns such as the Ausable Wulff, Rusty Spinner, and Stimulator. If you try to tie this fly, try the new style of tying the hackle off on the post rather than the body. Hook - mustad 49S size 12 – 16 thread - tan post - while McFlyLon body - rust Fly-rite dubbing thorax - peacock herl hackle - grizzly dyed brown
