Montreal Whore - Fly of the Month

Montreal white marabou streamer a go-to fishing fly
I don't' know much about the history of this fly.  It is believed to have been originated by a man named Lenny Loiselle and maybe gets its name from the flashy, glimmering color combination, The Montreal is my second go-to streamer behind the Black Ghost.  I talked to a man once who shared with me why he thought it worked so well in the spring. His ideas was that it matched the small red fin shiners that spawn up the rivers in the springtime. Anyone fishing the rivers in the Rangeley area should certainly have a good supply of this pattern in their fly boxes in spring.
Hook- streamer hook size 4 - 10
Thread - 8/0 black
Body - fluorescent red antron yarn
Rib - silver mylar tinsel
Wing - a mixture of red and blue bucktail, topped with white marabou
