Edson Tiger Light

This month's fly is the Edson Tiger Light. This fly was created by Bill Edson of Portland, Maine in 1929. It is an effective pattern in our area in the fall when the the colors yellow and red catch the eye of spawning trout.

Hook - Long shank streamer # 6-10
Thread - Black
Body - Peacock herl
Tail - Barred Woodduck
Wing - Yellow Bucktail topped with red hackle fibers
