Mosquito

This month’s fly is the Mosquito dry fly. I could not find any history on this pattern, but it certainly has been around a long time. It is not the easiest fly to tie but the materials you need are easy to find since they all come from one source.

Thread – Black
Tail- grizzly hackle fibers
Wing – grizzly hackle tips
Body – A stripped grizzly cape quill
