Fishing Report - April 20 2017

The progress towards spring is moving forward slowly.  Snow and ice continue to melt and add to the run off in the rivers and lakes. The only fishable water remains the Magalloway and Rapid rivers. both are at low flows from the dams but brooks and streams are adding a good amount of water to the systems. I caught my first brookie of the season today at the Mag. on a red worm. San Juan worms have been the most productive flies this week fisherman report. Water temp was 36 degrees but clear. Clarity of the rivers can change from day to day depending on the amount of melting taking place. If you have any questions feel free to call the shop.
