Fishing Report - June 22 2017

Not much has changed here since last week. The weather has been mostly cloudy with cool temps. Some areas received a good shot of rain but around  the lakes we only got a little. There were good amounts of rain in the headwaters that brought water levels up and now down. There are still some Hendricksons around but Caddis are more abundant. The Drakes should make an appearance in the next week to 10 days. The Magalloway will be at rafting flows (900 cfs) this week end between 10 am and 3 pm. The Rapid is at the low flow of 400. No fresh Salmon in the Kennebago that I know of but the flow went up a little on Wednesday. Stoneflies should start showing up and become a part of the fish food mix. The bugs are really bad so be prepared. Things to enjoy while fishing even when the catching is slow: casting, birds, flowing water, sunshine, wind (and its effect on the bugs), looking at your fly box, snacking.....
