pool on the kennebago river

Fishing Report - June 9 2017

Change is on the way. With warmer weather coming summer fishing should be in full swing. Flow levels are good on the free flowing waters. Levels on the Magalloway and Rapid are on the high side still but very fishable. The Mag. is cold at 53 degrees today while the other rivers are in the high 50's by the end of a sunny day. There are Hendricksons and caddis  in the air and lots of nymphs of the same crawling around on the bottom. We received 1/3 of an inch of rain today which could raise the rivers and streams a little bit. I hear that the Kennebago has lots of small fish in it but I have not heard of any fresh salmon yet. There is some excellent trophy chub fishing at #10 bridge. Don't forget the bug spray.
