Fishing Report – Sept. 13, 2013

September 13, 2013
The big news is that the rain last night finally had an effect the river levels. The area rivers are high and discolored this morning and will continue to rise thru the day. I was at Steep bank pool this morning and there where fishing rising all over the pool and the water temp. was a perfect 59 degrees. Prime time will be when the water begins to drop and clear. I would expect that the Mag. at #10 bridge will be full of fish after this high water. The smaller streams and headwaters are the first to show a drop in levels so check them out while the bigger rivers are still high. New fish up a river should respond well to streamers and bright colored nymphs. On the surface, midges and soft hackled emergers are a good place to start.
