Fishing Report - September 12 2019

There is lots going on here as the fall fishing season continues to improve. The fish arrived at Steep bank on the Kennebago last Friday. The Magalloway has had a good supply of Salmon that come well to nymphs and streamers. Water temps on most waters is in the mid 50's which is really good. The upper Kennebago and Cupsuptic could use some more water to move some fish but are worth checking out. Fishing methods that are best are sub surface with buggers, leeches and streamers with red and yellow. Soft hackle wet flies are one of my favorites. You need to be ready to try many different methods this time of year which makes it interesting and rewarding when you figure it out. The trout are really beautiful right now and the leaves are beginning to change colors on the mountain sides.
