Here is what's happening in the mountains this week. Last week we received 1.5 inches of rain which boosted the flows for a couple of days with water temps in the 58-62 degree range in the backcountry. The larger rivers are staying in the upper 60's. On Tuesday night of this week we received .75 inches of rain. This morning I headed out to fish with a sport and found both the Kennebago and Cupsuptic too high to fish. Water temp on the Kennebago was 64 degrees. It will be interesting to see if any fish move up that river. I don't think they will move through water that warm but I am often proved wrong by the fish. The lakes are all full so our area dams have had increased flows lately. There are still some small caddis around for bugs and I have seen some midges starting to show up. The blueberries and blackberries are good eating right now.
Till next time,
Brett
