Blacknose Dace

  

This month's fly is the Blacknose Dace streamer fly. This pattern was created by Art Flick and was introduced in 1947 in his Streamside Guide. This minnow spawns in many of our area rivers during the month of June.

 

   

Hook - Streamer size 12-8

Thread - Black

Body - Silver tinsel or mylar tubing

Tag - Red yarn

Wing - first white then black then brown bucktail
