Carrie Stevens' best known fly.  A beautiful tie on this long shank hook. Still tied locally.  The Red Gray Ghost has red tinsel and a red underwing.

A streamer for casting or trolling - very popular on the area lakes. A variation of the Joe's Smelt.

A good casting streamer   - larger sizes are sometimes used trolling. The down wing design of this fly makes it a killer imitation of a smelt.

Originally tied by Frier Gulline for use on the lakes on the Quebec and Vermont border. Used extensively on Maine lakes as a smelt imitation.
